Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival to Bhutan
Paro – Thimphu, 61.9 KM/2 Hours
9:00 – 9:30 am – Arrival & Traditional Welcome at Paro
Guests will be warmly welcomed at Paro by the guide with a traditional khadar (kha thar) ceremony and a welcome goodie bag, marking the beginning of their journey in Bhutan.
9:30 – 10:45 am – Scenic Drive to Thimphu
Travel toward Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, while enjoying beautiful scenery along the way, including rivers, mountains, valleys, and traditional village views.
10:45 – 11:30 am – Visit Happiness Farm, Paro
Arrive at Happiness Farm and enjoy a guided tour focused on sustainable living and organic farming. A special highlight is the Tree Membership experience, where guests can plant or adopt a tree, creating a meaningful connection with Bhutan’s nature.
11:30 am – 12:00 pm – Lunch at Happiness Farm
Enjoy lunch at the farm, featuring fresh local flavors served in a peaceful natural environment.
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch Break & Paro Valley Views
Relax during a lunch break while taking in the beautiful views of Paro Valley, ideal for sightseeing and photography.
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Drive to Le Méridien Thimphu
Continue the scenic drive to Le Méridien Thimphu, enjoying more countryside and mountain views along the route.
2:00 – 2:30 pm – Hotel Check-in
Arrive at the hotel and complete the check-in process.
2:30 – 4:00 pm – Rest & Leisure Time
Free time to rest and relax at the hotel after the morning activities.
4:00 – 5:00 pm – Handicraft Market Visit
Visit the local handicraft markets, where guests can explore traditional Bhutanese arts, crafts, and souvenirs, and interact with local artisans.
Day 02: Travel to Wangdue Phodrang
9:00 – 9:06 am: Departure from hotel and drive to Buddha Point
Guests will begin their journey from the hotel and drive to Buddha Point, one of the most important landmarks in Thimphu.
9:06 – 9:45 am: Visit Buddha Point
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and panoramic views of Thimphu Valley, along with time for photography and relaxation.
9:45 – 10:40 am – Scenic Drive to Dochula Pass
Continue the journey through winding mountain roads toward Dochula Pass, enjoying forested landscapes and fresh mountain air.
10:40 – 11:10 am – Visit Dochula Pass
Explore the iconic 108 chortens and, weather permitting, enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountain range.
11:10 am – 12:00 pm – Drive to Aum Toebzam Homestay
Proceed toward Aum Toebzam Homestay, arriving between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm after a scenic drive.
12:00 – 1:00 pm – Traditional Bhutanese Lunch
Enjoy a traditional lunch with authentic Bhutanese dishes, offering a warm taste of local flavors and hospitality.
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Cultural Interaction & Leisure Time
Relax after lunch while exploring traditional Bhutanese artifacts. Guests may also experience Bhutan’s national sport, archery, and enjoy light cultural activities in a friendly village setting.
2:00 – 3:00 pm – Rest & Free Time
Free time to rest, interact with the host family, or enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings.
3:00 – 5:30 pm – Drive to Karma Wangmo Homestay, Phobjikha
Travel for approximately two and a half hours to Karma Wangmo Homestay in Phobjikha Valley, Wangdue Phodrang, enjoying scenic mountain views along the way.
5:30 pm onwards | Check-in & Evening Relaxation
Upon arrival, check in at the homestay and unwind while enjoying peaceful valley views, cool mountain air, and serene natural surroundings. Rest at the homestay after a full day of travel.
Day 03: Explore the Phojikha Valley
9:00 – 9:30 am – Morning Walk & Valley Views
Start the day with a relaxed morning walk around the valley. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, open meadows, traditional farmhouses, and beautiful wide views of Phobjikha Valley. This is a peaceful time for photography and nature appreciation.
9:30 – 10:30 am – Gangtey Nature Trail Walk
Walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, an easy and scenic path passing through forests, villages, prayer flags, and chortens. During spring, visitors can see green fields, blooming wildflowers, and local villagers working on their farms.
10:30 – 11:30 am – Visit Gangtey Monastery (Gangtey Goenpa)
Visit the historic Gangtey Monastery, one of the most important Nyingma monasteries in Bhutan. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the entire valley and learn about the spiritual importance of the area.
11:30 am – 12:30 pm – Village & Community Interaction
Explore nearby villages such as Gangtey Village or Phobjikha Village. Interact with locals, observe daily rural life, and learn about traditional farming and household activities.
12:30 – 1:30 pm – Lunch at Homestay Local Restaurant
Enjoy lunch at a local homestay or lodge, featuring authentic Bhutanese dishes made from fresh local ingredients.
1:30 – 2:30 pm – Cultural Activities & Leisure Time After lunch, take part in light cultural activities such as:
- Learning about traditional weaving.
- Trying archery or khuru (traditional dart game).
- Exploring old household artifacts and tools Or simply relax and enjoy the calm surroundings.
2:30 – 3:30 pm – Free Time Photography Tea Break
Enjoy free time for photography, short walks, or a tea break while admiring the quiet valley and mountain views.
3:30 – 4:30 pm – Conservation Centre Visit (Optional)
Visit the Black-necked Crane Education Center to learn about conservation efforts and the importance of the valley, even though the cranes are usually not present in spring.
4:30 – 6:00 pm – Evening Village Walk & Sunset Views
Take an evening walk through the valley as the sun sets behind the hills. The soft light, quiet atmosphere, and cool air make this a perfect end to the day.
After 6:00 pm – Dinner & Overnight Stay
Return to your homestay or lodge. Enjoy dinner, warm hospitality, and a peaceful night in Phobjikha valley.
Day 04: Phobjikha – Bumthang
Wangdue Phodrang – Bumthang, approx. 190 km / 6–7 hours
8:00 – 9:00 am – Breakfast & Departure from Phobjikha
After breakfast at the homestay, guests will begin their scenic journey toward Bumthang, passing through forests, rivers, and high mountain passes.
9:00 am – 3:30 pm – Scenic Drive to Bumthang (with stops)
Enjoy a beautiful drive through central Bhutan. Short breaks will be taken along the way for rest, refreshments, and photography.
3:30 – 4:00 pm – Arrival & Hotel Check-in in Bumthang
Arrive in Bumthang and check in to the hotel or homestay.
Evening – Leisure Time
Free time to relax after the long drive and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 05: Explore Bumthang – Ura Valley
9:00 – 9:30 am – Breakfast at Hotel
Enjoy breakfast with views of the cool spring landscape.
9:30 – 10:30 am – Drive to Ura Valley
Travel to Ura Valley, one of the most traditional and scenic valleys in Bhutan.
10:30 am – 1:00 pm – Explore Ura Village
Walk through Ura Village, interact with local villagers, and observe traditional stone houses, farmlands, and daily rural life.
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Lunch in Ura Valley
Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese lunch at a local homestay or restaurant.
2:00 – 4:00 pm -Cultural Interaction & Leisure Time
Experience village life through light cultural activities, such as:
- Learning about traditional farming and lifestyle.
- Observing local weaving practices.

4:00 – 5:00 pm -Return Drive to Bumthang town

Day 06: Bumthang – Thimphu
Approx. 270 km / 8–9 hours

After breakfast, depart for Thimphu.
9:00 am – 5:30 pm – Drive to Thimphu (with lunch stop
Enjoy the scenic return journey through central Bhutan, with comfort and lunch stops along the way.
5:30 – 6:00 pm – Arrival & Hotel Check-in in Thimphu
Check in to the hotel upon arrival.

Day 07: Departure from Paro
Morning – Drive to Paro International Airport
After breakfast, guests will be transferred from Thimphu to Paro International Airport for their onward flight.
